Karl Cook
Karl started his career as a computer technician, and when he joined
the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) in 1994 took up making
swords and knives as a hobby, then got into lost wax casting and
associated crafts.
To date, he has worked on several films and television series,
as both a craftsman and weapons assistant, and most recently as
2nd Assistant Director on Kings Caravan (2004). He left
the computer industry in 2001, and has once again turned his hobby
into his business.

Elizabeth Elwell, B.Des (UNSW)
Known to everyone as "Bess", Elizabeth graduated with
her Bachelor of Design from the College of Fine Arts, UNSW in 2005.
Having spent five years training to be a graphics and new media
designer, her interest in history and historical costume (lifelong,
but nurtured in the SCA since 2000) drew her towards costume design
for film and television in 2004.
Having worked for six months with the Australian Film, Television
& Radio School, Bess gained experience as a Costume Supervisor
and Standby Wardrobe Mistress, most recently on Kings Caravan
(where she put her head together with longtime friend Karl
to form Cote & Cutler). She has also, thus, turned her hobby
into her business.

Proudly Supporting

Important Modern Ethos for the Re-enactors' Game.
All of C&C's designs are made in Australia without the use of sweatshop
labour. While this often results in a higher price tag, we prefer to offer
quality assurance on our products without harming others to get it to
you.
If you'd like to know more about the importance of eradicating the sweat-shop
trade, please click on the picture above.
