Players' Doublet This outfit is based on a painting by the late 16th C. Italian
master, Caravaggio. Made for a rather camera-shy friend in Wollongong
for a ball held in Tasmania, it's being modeled here by my beloved,
Karl. It has the right sleeves too, but Karl has very long arms...
I saw this painting and was enthralled. The striking use of colour
and stripes was something I had never encountered before, and
I just happened to have almost the exact same yellow fabric and
black velveteen left over in my stash.

colours, in whole, or in part, or to show you other designs from
our extensive library.
Please don't be afraid to ask for a component of an outfit you
like if you already have or want to make your own underpinnings
or other items! It can often save you money, and while we like to
receive your money, we also understand the restrictions of budget
:)
